At the 2009 AGM of the hurling club, it was decided in order to keep up with the times that a development committee should be set in place,
this committee would be responsible for bringing the clubs facilities up to and above par with the needs of players, spectators and members alike.
The committee elected comprised of Chairman, Bernard McMahon,
Secretary, Danny Chaplin,
treasurer, Conor Moroney,
these men quickly set in place an ambitious plan and immediately set to work on fundraising and starting work on the project.
To date an impressive hurling wall, and the car park surface of the clubhouse has been completed, and the next goal is to begin work on the clubhouse itself, by adding a new extension compromising of a state of the art gymnasium and a first floor meeting room, it is also hoped to refurbish the dressing rooms, and this should be fully completed by mid Summer.
The beginning of the upgrading of the playing surface of Glenomra Park is due to start towards the latter end of the year. The committee would like to heartily express their gratitude towards anybody who has helped in anyway so far, or donated in anyway towards the development plan, and look forward to continuing their work.
