Broadford/SOB's lost out on Monday morning to a strong Tulla side on a scoreline of 3-14 to 6-20.
Broadford/Smith O'Briens finished level pegging with Wolfe Tones on Friday on a scoreline of 2-20 to 4-14.
Broadford/SOB started much stronger of the two teams. Diarmuid O' Brien and Jack Dillon led the charges with a goal and 1-1 respectively. Cathal Stritch and Seamus Monahan kept the Wolfe Tones forwards quiet in the early exchanges. Sean Phelan and Paddy Gough kept the their backs under pressure and gave great supply. Broadford/SOB finished the first half with a strong lead. Wolfe Tones started the second half strongly but Broadford/SOB kept the scoreline ticking over with further points from Darren Chaplin. The game looked to be going Broadford/SOB's way with a well taken goal by Sean Considine. Wolfe Tones stepped up the pressure for the last 20 mins and with two dismissals for Broadford/SOB the game was in the melting pot. The team heroically battled on for the win but a late goal from Wolfe Tones earned them a draw. Adult Second round of the Junior B Championship this Saturday 1st August. Broadford vs Feakle.
