Hard Struggle Results in a Loss for Broadford U 21’s

7/3/2015

Broadford made a promising start to their U21 A match against Ballyea last night, scoring 5 points in quick succession in the first ten minutes. Ballyea responded however, with a series of points over the next twenty minutes to leave the field at half-time ahead by 3 points.

Back on the field Broadford seemed the stronger side again, consistently gaining possession of the ball and scoring the first point of the second half. However, Ballyea and a biting cross-wind got the better of Broadford with Ballyea scoring two more points and the wind sending wide a number of chances for Broadford to catch up.

Ballyea broke away with a long puck up the field and despite Broadford’s best defence attempts, in the 27th minute of the second half Ballyea scored the only goal of the match.

Final score Broadord 0-6 Ballyea 1-10
