​Broadford secured their place in the second round of the U21 B Championship with an eight point win over Éire Óg on Saturday 9th March in Newmarket-on-Fergus. With both teams finding their feet in the first-half, Broadford did well to hold off their opponents until the last ten-minutes of first-half play when a point and a goal for Éire Óg helped them to leave the field with a four point advantage; Broadford having been unlucky not to convert two goal scoring opportunities in to points on the board.
 
Broadford came back on to the field for second-half ready to turn the game around after an early free for Niall O’Brien and a goal from Sparky Whelan, pulled from the ground, levelled the score in the first few minutes. Éire Óg responded quickly with a point from play but Broadford dominated for the next 15 minutes and a goal from substitute Shane Tuite helped to bank Broadford a healthy lead. A goal for Éire Óg in the 24th minute reduced the deficit but at this stage it was too late and Broadford went on to end the second-half as it had started with a point from a free from Niall O’Brien to secure the final victory. Broadford Minor Club are running an Easter Hurling Camp for primary school children (boys and girls). There will be U-6, U-8, U-10 and U-13 categories and it is open to players from any club.

The junior camp will have a range of hurling/camogie activities, other sports, fun games and much more to keep the younger members of the camp entertained. While the senior camp will be more focused on hurling/camogie skills and games.

Drop off time will be 9:45am with supervision until the camp starts at 10am. The camp then runs until 2:30pm each day.

Numbers are limited so get your application in early to avoid disappointment.
