Broadford village is situated in a very picturesque and beautiful landscape, located very centrally in East Clare. It has fantastic potential. The community is proud and committed as can be evidenced by the activity of clubs, organisations, primary school, Faith community and individuals.
However the village is in grave danger of suffering more loss off opportunity and business due to the lack of infrastructure. The lack of a sewerage scheme in the village is a big drawback to housing and development.
More housing means more people, more people means more demand for our shop, Post Office, Church, clubs, school enrollment will continue to grow, Hurling and Camogie clubs will benefit with more players and supporters and business can develop and grow to real sustainable levels. Even greater energy will be present in our community; so much can happen that makes a huge difference to us all.
A public meeting will take place at the village hall on March 14th at 8.p.mm sharp to address these issues. Please come along to offer your support and ideas. If we leave it to others, then nothing useful happens.
So please come along and help sow the seeds for the future of Broadford.
Thank you.
