Broadford played Sixmilebridge on Thursday evening, at home, in their Junior B League match.

With just a few minutes left before the end of the game and a score line of 1-07 to 0-20, a goal from Willie Wixted taken at close range after the ball was delivered from outfield and fiercely contested for, gave a lift to Broadford and it was cheers all around for Willie’s return from retirement.
