The game was still in the melting pot at half time with just a goal between the teams (1-7 to 0-7). Goal scored by Colin Balfe. J.C. McMahon was busy in goals in the first half but made some excellent saves. Scores from Seán Phelan and Diarmuid O' Brien and Mikey O Shea kept the scoreboard ticking over.
In the second half Broadford/SOB were well on top but failed to convert a lot of scoring chances. The Sixmilebridge forwards were well marshalled by Seán Phelan and Michael Hogan and when they started to use Diarmuid Whelan and O'Shea the game changed. A number of long range scores by Mikey O' Shea put Broadford/SOB out of reach. Jack Dillon and David O' Shea caused problems up front and when Diarmuid Whelan scored a well taken point The Bridge heads dropped. Final scoreline read 1-16 to 0-10.
