Broadford won the first outing against Tulla at the weekend but got off to a slow start in their Clare Cup match, away in Pairc an Dalaigh, on Saturday. Tulla had a 0-02 to 0-0 lead until 14 minutes in to the game, Broadford’s first point came from a 65 and a second from play followed a minute later. This was when the game really started for Broadford who had opened up a six-point lead by half-time 0-04 to 0-10 points.
Tulla started the second-half with a goal in the first minute of play and ended their scores with a second goal in the 30th minute. The 28 minutes in between however saw Broadford register 10 points from play and 2 from frees with Tulla managing one point from play and three from frees. The final point fell to Broadford just in to the start of two minutes of extra time. Final score 2-08 to 0-23.

Luck was not with the Camogie Intermediates, however, in their match on Sunday morning, played in O'Callaghan's Mills. Despite all efforts and a number of frustrating near-misses in and around the Tulla square, goals which could have helped to make the difference remained elusive. Final score Tulla 4-07 Broadford 1-04.
