Broadford Camogie secured a place in the league final with a dramatic win over Tulla. Tulla had not beaten Broadford in the round stages and with both teams on the same points this was a play off with everything at stake!
Tulla started very well and with the aid of strong wind Tulla led at half time Tulla 0-8 to 1-02 with Aoife Vaughan scoring the goal and Aoife Dillon 2 points.
The match ebbed and flowed for first 15 minutes of second half with Broadford managing to go ahead by a point that was short lived as Tulla scored a goal and converted two frees.
With time running out, Aoife Vaughan went on one of her many sole runs and scored her second goal. Aoife's second half performance was the turning point of this game. Annalee Marsh struck the equaliser with two minutes on the clock and Aoife Dillon secured the win for Broadford.
With an unbelievable second half performance Broadford had to dig deep and the charter of this team came to the fore. A team effort snatched this one with Sam O'Connor and Karen Ryan excelling in the backs and the mid field pairing Aoife Vaughan and Aoife O'Brien winning that battle. Up front Aoife Dillon converting every chance she got.
