Broadford/Sob forwards got more chances in the second half but it was goaline clearances from the Crusheen/Tubber goalie that kept them on top. Once they had weathered the storm Crusheen picked off some points late on to finish strongly.

Broadford/Smith O' Briens suffered their first loss on Sunday morning on a scoreline of 1-15 to 1-19. This game involved two evenly matched teams and it wasn't until the last 10 minutes that Crusheen/Tubber were able to put over the extra scores to give them breathing space. Broadford/Sob fought tirelessly in the first half against a physical Crusheen side. The two James' (Vaughan and Hannon) putting serious pressure on their counterparts allowing Broadford/Sob to move forward. The excellent free taking of Niall O' Brien and J.C. McMahon kept the sides scoreline ticking over. Some surging runs by Shane Quinn Tuite and Niall Moloney also provided good scores for Broadford.
